With the Galaxy MFS 101 SDS, Yokohama Off-Highway Tires (YOHT) recently introduced a new generation of solid, heavy-duty tires for forklifts that are operated under the most demanding industrial and warehousing conditions. In order to make the advantages of this innovative tire range available for even more kinds and sizes of forklifts, YOHT further expanded the offering in this tire range to a total of now 58 SKUs. Designed for the needs of challenging indoor and outdoor operations, the Galaxy MFS 101 SDS is an ideal choice for electric, gas and diesel forklifts where high stability and safety along with a comfortable ride and a long service life are required.
A contemporary and innovative design that is complemented with a 3-stage construction ensures that the Galaxy MFS 101 SDS can be operated around the clock with minimal vibrations and heat build-up. The tire is equally characterised by better cushioning, steering ability and stability and allows for smooth operations on different types of industrial, paved and asphalt surfaces. More wearable rubber and a higher tread depth as well as 60J values demonstrate that this tire was built to last – a fact that is also highlighted by the 5-year warranty.
Excellent performance
The Galaxy MFS 101 SDS is a premium tire built with a tread compound that offers strong wear and cut-chip resistance properties. The top layer of the 3-stage construction ensures the optimum lifespan. The soft centre cushion layer assists in minimising vibrations, thus providing comfort for the operator, whilst the base compound layer was used for maximum stability: it allows for an efficient load transfer to the rims of the forklift whilst the anti-slip steel beads eliminate wheel slip.
The tread of the Galaxy MFS 101 SDS is characterised by an innovative design with a continuous centre and optimised lugs at the shoulders. This design further adds to low vibrations and high driving comfort for operators during long working hours. The circumferential grooves provide improved steering ability, and the longer grooves ensure reliable traction. In conjunction with uniform internal layers, the wide flat profile of this tire range leads to excellent load distribution and stability of the forklift also during critical lifting and cornering operations.
Quick and standard heel fitment available
With now 58 SKUs, Galaxy MFS 101 SDS tires come in both Quick Heel/Lip type (QH) and Standard Heel type (SH) fitments and with various rim combinations. The broad portfolio allows to cover almost every need.
